PROJECT OVERVIEW
South West Water is the water and wastewater service provider for a population of c. 1.7 million in Cornwall, Devon, and parts of Somerset and Dorset. Through the years, by innovating, investing and adapting they have achieved industry-leading results in many areas of the business.
They launched an extensive programme of environmental improvement which has resulted in some of the finest bathing waters in Europe, picturesque scenery and clean rivers with stunning wildlife.
As part of their business, they are under statutory obligations to address their energy usage and carbon emissions. Immersa tendered and were ultimately awarded the first battery storage project at the De Lank Fresh Water treatment facility near Bodmin.
CONSULTANCY
Immersa worked with South West Water over a two year period in order to understand the specific requirements of this site, to ensure seamless integration. Our research and close working relationship with our clients enable us to provide progressive and industry-leading solutions.
SOLUTION
At the end of our consultation and research period, Immersa delivered 130kW of ground and roof-mounted solar, together with a 100/205 lithium phosphate battery to provide an energy storage solution.
